( Their ceremony was brief. With few remaining family, and little patience for extravagance, preparations had been left in the hands of a wedding planner. She didn't even so much as "shop" for a wedding dress, so much as go with her tailor's recommendations. To Integra, this was simply another obligation. One intended to ease relations between England and The Holy Church. There would be no reception or honeymoon. She simply expected to return to her office the next day.

Of course, there was still a matter of consummation. Though she'd prefer not to dwell on the matter, the Queen demanded she produce an heir to solidify Hellsing's future. Another duty to the Crown, she supposed.

Once they've returned to the manor for the night, Integra leads Kirei up the staircase, hand in hand; perhaps the most physicality she's allotted him since the ceremony, itself. Not wanting to make any assumptions, she finds herself, asking aloud: )

Would you prefer your own room for tonight?

( They hardly knew one another, after all. The last thing she wanted was for him to be uncomfortable. )
